Gabrielle Joy Gatta

Gabrielle is a Clinical Intern pursuing her M.A. in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. She brings a warm, present-centered, and relational approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered, attachment-based, and contemplative frameworks. With a background in executive coaching and over a decade in the finance world, Gabrielle supports clients in navigating intimacy, self-worth, life transitions, and relational dynamics with depth and intention.

Her work is rooted in the belief that healing begins by cultivating an internal secure attachment—a grounded relationship with oneself that allows for deeper, more authentic connection with others. Gabrielle is especially attuned to issues around identity, embodiment, desire, and emotional regulation, and her style invites curiosity, presence, and self-compassion.

Gabrielle works with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds. She integrates psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, and somatic awareness into her clinical work and honors each client’s unique life story and strengths.

Before transitioning to the field of mental health, Gabrielle spent 15 years advising high-achieving leaders and founders. She holds a B.A. in French and Philosophy from Colgate University, was a national team gymnast and undefeated cross-country runner, and is currently completing her graduate training at NYU.
